Project papers presented at European housing conference

In the beginning of this week two papers related to the Mind the (Housing) Wealth Gap project were presented at the ENHR conference in Lillehammer. Pauline McLoughlin and Kim McKee presented a paper on ‘Homeownership and future welfare: do young people really have a tenure ‘choice’?’. David McCollum delivered a paper on ‘Housing wealth and intergenerational welfare’, co-written with Beverley Searle. The abstracts can be downloaded from the conference website www.congrex.no/enhr2012/programme. Please contact the authors for full papers or presentations. In addition to the presented papers, team member Duncan Maclennan gave two papers and contributed to a plenary session on ‘Housing research and housing policy: a panel discussion on the relationship between research, policy and practice’. All presenters are members of the Centre for Housing Research at the University of St Andrews.
